The Hunchback of Notre Dame

In this Disney classic, viewers are taught that looks does not matter. In the depths of France lies a hunchback named Quasimodo. He was not allowed to leave the cathedral; he was put the responsibility of ringing the bells. But when it was time for the Feast of Fools to come into Notre Dame, Quasimodo could not help it but defy his master, Minister Frollo, who thinks a cleanse was needed for the city of Notre Dame. There, Quasimodo meets the beautiful gypsy Esmerelda, but when things take a turn, events are definitely turned topsy turvy. Because Esmerelda defies Frollo, Frollo wants her persecuted. He definitely does not stop even if he has to burn down all of Paris in order to get to her. Since it is a Disney classic, there is a lot of singing, but the songs have powerful messages that make viewers who watched this movie so long ago question what they watched when they were younger. Examples: Frollo's song of sin or Esmerelda's song of helping out the unfortunate. This classic definitely has it's powerful moments, and it hits viewers of all ages and sizes. But it is shown that people should not judge a book by it's cover.
