Jupiter Ascending

In this alternative universe, Mila Kunis plays Jupiter Jones, an heiress to a intergalactic throne. The thing is she never knew at first.  Cleaning toilets and other people's houses was not her favorite thing to do anyways. When she is told what she is by Caine Wise (Channing Tatum), an ex-soldier and hunter, she is thrown really quickly into another universe. It is obvious from the get go that these two are meant to be together, but the romance is so prolonged that you might as well try and pay attention to the other parts of the movie, and trust me, you don't want to miss a detail otherwise you will get lost.  She and the audience finds out that the universe that they exist in is protected by three Primaries; one of which wants to kill her and one almost succeeds. With the help of some good special effects (Well, not that good), the audience also sees Jupiter try to make sense of herself. This movie was on the borderline of entertaining but it was not captivating. Information was not distributed evenly throughout the movie making it a little too much to comprehend. If sci-fi is your thing, you might enjoy this movie, but to many, it's more like Jupiter is descending.

*Rated PG-13 for intense action parts, a little bit of foul language, and partial nudity
