Mad Max: Fury Road

In this sci-fi/action movie, Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) was held captive by Immortan Joe, but immaculously broke out of the captivity and managed to escape with Imperator Furiousa (Charlize Theron) who was done with Joe's selfish hierarchy from the beginning. With the help of Nux (Nicholas Hoult) and Joe's five wives, they manage to trek the dystopian land of what used to be Earth in order to find a safe haven Furiousa vaguely remembers from her childhood. That trek though was not the easiest. With effects that are up to speed, some of the intensity of this movie feels like a video game. Not only that, it's not called Mad Max for nothing. It is hardcore, and I'm not just talking about the guitarist who was on one of the cars that was tailing the group shredding metal like no other. With the amount of action, guns, and dare to mention death including twins dying inside their mother's womb, it is extremely hardcore. Luckily, it is not just one of those movies that has a shallow plot. It actually has a few intriguing characteristics that make viewers question what some of the scenes mean especially like Max's visions. If you like action and have a sense of adventure like these guys, you might want to take a look at this movie.

*Rated R for disturbing scenes and intense moments.
