Project Almanac

In this document like movie, David Raskin (Jonny Weston) is your typical 17-year-old high schooler who's trying to graduate and get into college. The thing is he just got accepted to MIT but he is unable to pay for tuition, so he tries anything even go through his dead father's things until he finds a video camera that changes his and his friends lives. The movie is captured through one video camera which is constantly passed around making some viewers a little nauseous, but it doesn't take away from the plot. It actually adds effect making viewers wonder what is going to happen next. When David found out that his father had the basic components for a time machine, it didn't stop him from building it. With the help of his friends Adam (Allen Evangelista), Quinn (Sam Lerner), and his sister Christina (Virginia Gardner), they were able to go and do all the things they wanted to do: win the lottery, take a few tests over, go to La La Palooza. It is not until the group realizes what they were doing was affecting future and their lives. Project Almanac is a pretty interesting movie if you like sci-fi, but because of the constant shaking of the camera and weird camera angles, you might get a slight headache, but other than that, I give it a thumbs up.

*Rated PG-13 for language and sexual content
