Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters

Once upon a time, there was a couple of kids named Hansel and Gretel. They lived a good life with their mom and dad until one day, people were out to get their mother so they were left alone in the woods to defend for themselves. They came across an odd looking house made completely out of candy. Unfortunately, a witch lived inside and caught them. Upon bringing them in, she forced them to eat candy so that she can eat them... Until they killed the witch and became witch hunters. Years later, Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) were called to a small village where certain children were being taken by witches. With the help of Hollywood, this movie became extremely badass especially with the giant torture weapons and guns to help execute the witches. It did have a lot of action, gore, and over dramatic scenes, but that's what made the children's story even better. If it wasn't about the two beating up some witches then it would be the somewhat deep plot line of not just figuring out why the witches were taking the children, but why the two weren't affected from the witch's black magic. All in all, it is an enjoyable movie, but with a little bit of Hollywood in the mix.

*Rated R for strong fantasy horror violence and gore, brief sexuality/nudity, and language.
