Terminator Genisys

In this action packed movie, Arnold Schwarzenegger is back at it again except as the last of the vintage terminators. While the movie played off of the story line of the first movie, it had it's separate plot line where John Connor (Jason Clarke) is about to pull another rebuttal against the program, Skynet, an artificial intelligence system that eliminates human beings. It is when his friend, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney), volunteers to go back in time to 1984 to save John's mother, Sarah Connor (Emelia Clarke) who played a crucial part to the beginning stage of Skynet, when things get interesting. Viewers got to see Arnold yet again in his element. While it was interesting seeing new characters play important roles, it was as enjoyable to see Arnold play his role especially when he inserted little comedic lines in appropriate times. The thing that this movie has that the others didn't was the advantage in effects. The effects in this movie actually seem real instead of fake, but viewers are so used to the old Terminator movies that it is just a little strange seeing the new effects take place on the Terminator. It might also be the timing on when this movie was produced that it didn't make it as enjoyable, but with effects, it takes great time. It didn't hinder the fact thought that the rules have definitely been reset.

*Rated PG-13 for brief strong language, brief nudity, and intense violence and gunplay throughout the movie.

My Rating: B-
