Deadpool

Before I say anything about this movie, it may be a Marvel movie, but parents, it is strongly suggested you better not let your children see this movie unless they are at least 17 years of age. That's all I'm saying. Anyways, in this not so stereotypical but stereotypical Marvel movie, Ryan Reynolds plays the anti-hero Deadpool. Now coming from the side of not knowing who the heck Deadpool was, viewers like myself got to see how he came to be, but fellow fans who read the comics and know him might have other things to say. This movie starts out in the middle of chaos literally. Deadpool is on the hunt for Ajax/Francis (Ed Skrein) and it's not just because he's an evil villain. He may have ruined his life before all the chaos happened. Between the shots of the craziness, Deadpool literally tells the viewers the way of his life before it came to that exact moment, and it was an interesting one to say the least. Of course this movie came out on Valentine's Day, so viewers might think the movie has somewhat of a romance in it and it does. It's just not the way viewers might think it would have happened. Before the life of Deadpool came to life, Wade Wilson (still Ryan Reynolds) was a normal guy drinking at a usual bar until he found a girl that changed his life. It was not until he realized that he had cancer when he decided to bring the inner Deadpool out of him. The sarcastic remarks that come out of his mouth may be a little bit too much, but it doesn't distract viewers from the plot. In my opinion, it's a good movie, but it's not my favorite. It may have all the action and violence, but with the overpowering sarcastic remarks it can get a little old really quick.

*Rated R for strong violence and language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity.

My Rating: B
