It's been a while since I watched a good action movie, and I'm glad to say that I actually enjoyed this movie even though there were a couple moments that made me want to flip a table. Anyways, Gerard Butler is back at it again from the previous movie Olympus Has Fallen as Mike Banning, a personal security guard to the President of the United States, Benjamin Acker (Aaron Eckhart.) This time the movie does not take place in the good old US of A. It takes place in ally territory, England. More specifically, London. The prime minister had oddly passed away, which places the president in an unplanned route to go to the funeral, but of course, destruction came and it's come in a pack. Since this movie is following it's original partner, the action is definitely obvious especially when it comes to the assassination of other world leaders and gun shots are fired from everywhere. The two big questions though are who is killing all these people and why. Viewers quickly find out. Of course things are going to happen. That much is predicted. It's the anticipation viewers like to obtain, and it is placed all over this movie. From the point if Banning is going to resign from his post as security to who was next at trying to kill the president. It can get a little annoying trying to figure out what is going to happen next, but viewers soon realize to just go along with the movie since the pace can get a little fast. It is a good movie though. It has all the basic action movie points: the explosions, the killing, and some of the oddly but well placed humor between the two comrades. This movie has definitely made me and maybe some viewers make sure they have someone there that has their back.
*Rated R for strong language and violence throughout.
My Rating: B
