The Martian (Second Review)

I like watching movies multiple times, not only because I like the movie, but I want to see if my rating would change with a different mind set. Since this is the second time watching this movie, not much has changed except one bothering moment that my boyfriend brought up. Mark Watney (Matt Damon) was on an excursion with his fellow colleagues on Mars until a sandstorm separated the team making the team think that Watney is dead. Little did they know they left a live man on Mars while they were on their way back to Earth. From there on out, Watney tries his best to stay alive by planting potatoes with his own poop, making water from the basic knowledge NASA taught him, and getting in contact with NASA. Fortunately, they are trying their best, and I'm not sure if I should take the director of NASA seriously because it is a man normally played for comedian roles, which is Jeff Daniels. Overall, my rating for this movie did not change, but I did notice one thing that may be considered bad writing on the writer's point of view. It is when Watney is talking to NASA and he is speaking while typing so viewers know what he is typing. The thing is the people are re-reading what the viewers just heard. This movie may not be so out of this world, but it still is a good movie to watch.

*Rated PG-13 for strong language, injury images, and brief nudity.

My Rating: A+
