Have you ever had the feeling that you just had way too many thoughts bouncing around in your head? In Criminal, that's what the feeling is except times two.
CIA Agent, Billy Pope (Ryan Reynolds) was on a mission, and he was doing his best, until he failed and ended up dying. Luckily, scientists were able to transfer some of Billy's recent memories to a least likely person. This person, Jericho Stewart (Kevin Costner), has been in a psychiatric ward in an asylum for quite some time. The doctor said he is not able to feel anything. He does not care what society thinks. He will not blink an eye as he shoots some innocent people just to make sure he can walk a straight line. It all changed once Billy's memories were inserted into his head. The action was on right after that, because how would an action movie continue without some strange turn of events? Oddly enough, the rest of the movie was interesting. There were a few holes that I cannot help but notice, and the biggest thing I have to question particularly towards this movie: Does anybody in London take out their keys when they park their car? Jericho manages to steal not one, not two, but more than three cars just by getting in and pressing the gas pedal. Action movies... They are entertaining to watch, but sometimes, I feel like some of the producers and writers are so caught up in the story that they don't realize there are some holes in the story. Anyways, viewers were able to see the change in Jericho as he had to deal with Billy's memories along with his own. He even gets to know Billy's wife and daughter as he's trying to manage to cope with the two minds in his cranium. All in all, Criminal is entertaining to watch, but I'm not sure how viewers are going to feel about that ending.
*Rated R for strong violence and language
