The Jungle Book (Second Review)

I feel like every time I watch this movie, I'm either going through a really stressful time or a lot of nonsense happens, and it just means so much to me due to the symbolism in my life, but I'm going to do my best and not make the rating so personal.

Young Mowgli (Neel Sethi) was raised by wolves, and not just by any wolves; Wolves that care very much so for their jungle brethren and Mowgli. It wasn't until one day where Shere Kahn (voiced by Idris Elba) noticed the man cub and wanting him dismissed from the jungle. Of course, there's a fight between the wolves and him, but he scares off Mowgli. But Mowgli goes through a lot more than dealing with a raging tiger. He deals with snake, which I did not like the fact that Kaa (voiced by Scarlett Johansson) was only in the movie for a little snippet, but oh well. He also deals with crazy monkeys, which may need more cowbell, and a very, very hungry bear named Baloo (Bill Murray.) As the movie progresses, Mowgli learns more about himself and the the place he's called home for quite some time. Not only that, he learns about where he came from, and that's always not so great especially if it comes from a ginormous python that's about to eat your face off. One thing that Mowgli learned though by going through all those endeavors was to learn about the bare necessities.

*Rated PG for some sequences of scary action and peril.

My Rating: A++
