In this sci-fi film, Eragon (Ed Speleers) is your typical farm boy. He was enjoying everything with his brother and his uncle until the worst thing imaginable happened, people were getting killed. And just because he found an egg in the woods. What is so mysterious about this egg? It held a dragon. That's for one. And keeping a dragon has it's various amount of responsibilities especially staying away from a Shadeslayer and Razac. Not to mention, urgals, which in my opinion are the ugliest of the foes in this movie. I have read the book and I don't know why directors always want to change the endings when it comes to movies that are based off of novels, this movie still keeps my interest to this day. With enough action, magic, and a story that captivates even the nerdiest of the nerd, Eragon keeps the pure heart in mind. Not to mention, people are better off asking for forgiveness than permission.
*Rated PG for fantasy violence, frightening images, and intense battle sequences
My Rating: A
