In this fairy tale, Emma Watson stars as Belle, an average bookworm who just wanted more adventure. It wasn't until her father was taken from a beast when things got a little crazier than expected. Since Disney has been reliving some of the old movies, I'm actually really surprised at this one. I had to get used to some of the CGI, but viewers still got to see Lumiere (voiced by Ewan McGregor) and Cogsworth (voiced by Ian McKellen) do their thing in the enchanted castle that held the mysterious beast. Not to mention, the visuals are amazing especially the setting of France. It's like viewers are walking along with Gaston (Luke Evans) and LeFou (Josh Gad). As for the music, Alan Menkin has never failed to make an exceptional piece especially when it comes to the new songs that are in this film. This movie definitely tells a tale that is old as time.
*Rated PG for some action violence, peril and frightening images.
My Rating: A+
