Hello one and all! The Guardians of the Galaxy are back at it again except with more twists and turns and an even more awesome playlist.
Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and the gang are back at it again except this time Peter bumps into the last person he expects to bump into: his father. Now if some of you remember from the first movie, the death of his mother was quite tragic, but to some viewers, learning about his father is something out of this world. I do admit as the movie first started out I was a little confused with everything going on, but isn't that what a Marvel movie is supposed to have? So many things going on that viewers can get just the tiniest bit confused if they look away from the screen and don't pay attention for five minutes. Well, that's how I felt. Anyways, as Peter gets to know his father more and more, an evil plan comes to the surface and, of course, what more do you want then some action to go with that evil plan? I'm not going to lie; the scenes where the whole squad would walk into the room like a few badasses was kind of getting overplayed. Not only that, with the cheesiness coming from Quill especially when it came to the moments he had with Gamora (Zoe Saldana), it was getting a little ridiculous. But all in all, it was a pretty good movie. Not to mention, with a mischievous raccoon, a baby Groot (Vin Diesel), and a few aliens that just make an odd pairing, this movie still reminds viewers that family isn't just blood. It's about the people that you connect with.
*Rated PG-13 for sci-fi action and violence, language, and brief suggestive content.
