Pocahontas

I know I rated this movie before, but why not rate it again? It's not like my rating has changed, but I might as well put more of my thoughts than a simple summary of what the movie is, because I'm sure a lot of you have seen this movie already.

Pocahontas (voiced by Irene Bedard) is a free willing woman who follows the colors of the wind. With her father being the chief of their tribe, she tries to do her own thing but when he stated that Kocoum (voiced by James Apamaut Fall) wants to marry her, she goes around the river bend and tries to define her dreams of strange people coming to her home. It wasn't until John Smith (voiced by Mel Gibson) and his crew of goofy sailors came onto their land that made the Indians a little concerned on what was going on with their turf. I always thought this movie was an interesting history lesson. I was never intrigued by history, but put it in a Disney format and put some songs in it, I'm all in. I always liked Pocahontas. I mean I was pretty devoted when I was younger and dressed up as her for Halloween, but this movie always gives me tingles especially at the end when Governor Ratcliffe (voiced by David Ogden Stiers) has the upper hand and goes against Pocahontas' father. Anyways, I think a lot of viewers love this movie mainly because of the different types of people and the romance spark between John Smith and Pocahontas. It might also be the catchy tunes. I don't know about you guys, but I catch myself singing some of the songs days after I watch the movie. So if you want to go down Memory Lane and sing some pretty deep songs, Pocoahontas is the movie to watch.
