Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Hey guys, I know I haven't been watching as many movies as before, but as I'm finishing
up college, I have a lot of ideas on updating this blog and maybe making it more than just a hobby, so keep an eye out for an announcement and we'll go from there.

Harry Potter in general has always been my favorite. Don't ask me why. I was practically raised by the books and movies. Anyways, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) was on the journey of his last year in Hogwarts, but he got a little sidetracked with the fact of Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) coming into power so he had to skip his last year. Fortunately for him, his best friends did not leave his side except when there was one part where Ron (Rupert Grint) was jealous of the fact that Hermione (Emma Watson) was getting a little bit too close to Harry but that's besides the point. Harry is on the hunt for hocruxes and he's not stopping for anything. Well maybe a few memorable places that he thinks might have a few leads, but of course, there are dead ends. But that doesn't stop Voldemort from taking over the magic world and taking one of the key elements when it comes to the Deathly Hallows. Because I did watch this out of order, I'm thinking of having a Harry Potter night/day. Who would watch it with me?

*Rated PG-13 for language, violent sequences, and suggestive manner.

My Rating: A+

Since I did read the book not too long ago, I might as well add some input when it comes to comparison to the book. Now, I know producers try to stick to the main points when it comes to a thick book like the last Harry Potter, but the little details they fail to miss can get a little annoying. As for hitting the main points, the visualization of the book was amazing. The death of Hedwig almost made me cry my heart out. As for the death of Dobby, now, my heart was crying for him. Anyways, I love how they stick to the main point, but at the same time, little details count. Speaking of little details, the music just adds even more dramatic effect since symphony and harmony was just all over the place and it was like music to my ears. If my mind could speak J.K. Rowling, this series would be my mind, but as a writer, I can't reveal everything. Speaking of revealing, the effects of this movie/movies are astronomical. It makes me think maybe magic is real. Who knows? But the one thing that did irk me was the fact that Dobby was super CG'ed out the butt and I couldn't exactly help but just see the cartoonish side of him (even though he was an amazing elf in all aspects.) All in all, the movie reflects the main points and that's all that matters.

My Rating: B-
