Captive State

I like my fair share of sci-fi movies but Captive State was one that was kind of hard to get into.

The city of Chicago is under the ruling of aliens which aren't your
typical green looking aliens. They have adaptive needles that poke out of their heads marking anyone that tries to grab at them. Gabriel Drummond (played by Ashton Sanders) is just one of the many people that doesn't like how their government is reporting to the Closed Zone, so of course, he's got to take action.

It wasn't just how slow it was in the beginning. It was how everything was introduced. Not only that, there was a lot going on and not so much organization when tying everything together. The audience was introduced to a whole bunch of characters and they did connect in the end. It was just a little hard to understand who all the characters were and their roles. Everyone knew who John Goodman's character was and he wasn't even the main character.

All in all, I wouldn't mind giving this movie a second try but it could have been done a little better.

*Rated PG-13 for violence and action, some sexual content, drug usage, and language
