Zombieland: Double Tap

Hey guys, I know it's a little late but I had to post this now before I get too wrapped up into the week. So Movie of the Night: Zombieland: Double Tap!

Columbus (played by Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (played by Emma Stone), Tallahassee (played by Woody Harrelson), and Little Rock (played by Abigail Breslin) are back at it again but 10 years later. Things have been going well for the group. They have gotten cozy and some would say soft due to Columbus proposing to Wichita. Soon after, the girls split leaving the boys... mainly Columbus to his feelings. It wasn't until Little Rock is swooped away by a hippie, Berkeley (played by Avan Jogia), and they try to get her back.

I have always been a big fan of Zombieland. The references from the 2009 film had me dying from laughter. From the references about Columbus and Wichita meeting to "murraying" people, it was such a nostalgic feeling to see the old gang back together. Yes. Abigail Breslin is older, and she is 18 in the movie, so of course, the plot of the movie had to deal with her. I didn't like the fact there was more romance in it than I thought but it was a combination of a romantic comedy/action because of the new and improved zombies. They also did put a couple new characters, and while one of them is super badass, the other one people just want to strangle. It definitely was an interesting movie to watch twice in one day but other than that, nothing beats the original. Because of all the references, Zombieland Double Tap makes me just appreciate the first one even more.
