Sonic The Hedgehog

Good evening guys! I know it might be a little bit too late for some of you but Movie of the Day: Sonic The Hedgehog!

In a world where you have to constantly run away in fear of being caught, Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz) takes refuge on the planet Earth. The thing is he doesn't really have any friends or any company to hang around with. On Earth, Tom Wachowski (played by James Marsden) is a small town police officer that is about to head to the big city for his big promotion. It wasn't until he bumped into Sonic when he had to battle the evil Dr. Robotnik (played by Jim Carrey) to keep a good friend from leaving.

As a fan of the Sega series, I was not only watching the movie just because Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors but because of the remodeling the editors did with Sonic's eyes. The movie was actually pretty good. I was expecting some kind of children's movie but Jim Carrey stole the entire movie. If it weren't for him, the movie would have been some really cheesy comedy but with Carrey's whimsical charisma, he made the movie work. I was actually surprised with this back story and, it definitely got me interested into waiting for the next one. So if you are looking for some kind of new movie to watch in theaters, I would definitely go watch this one.
