Onward

Good evening guys! I know my pictures have been a little wonky lately. I'm still trying to get used to Blogger's new format so I have to figure out how to format things. It's mainly the text wrap and the photos, but it's getting better. If there are still blank pictures, please let me know! Anyways, Movie of the Night: Onward!

Onward is an adventure between two brothers, Barley Lightfoot (played by Chris Pratt) and Ian Lightfoot (played by Tom Holland) to find another Phoenix Stone to get the other half of their dad so that they can spend time with him. Ian just turned 16 which meant in Barley's eyes, he had to go on a quest to be the man that he was destined to be and that quest was because of a gift their dad had left for them. But because of this quest, it leaves their mom in a state of worry since they just left. With the help of a Manticore, Barley's gut feeling, and the ride on a Cheeto, the boys make it to the end of their quest just for Ian to know that his brother has always been the father figure he never had.

This movie iss too adorable and funny to not enjoy it. I also did not realize that the two main characters were voiced by an interesting duo. I think the thing that got me was the touching story line. Ian just wanted to spend time with his dad and with his brother being the nerd that he is, he didn't really see the tiny little lessons he was teaching him. Even his mother was part of the guys when it came to the nerdy little things they did. Maybe it's the nerdiness or the cheesiness that gets to some viewers but other than that, I don't really have much to say anything negative about the movie! It's definitely a great movie to watch with the little ones or if you were planning to watch this in theaters, it's available on Disney+!
