Hey guys! Sorry about the late post. I tried posting Monday but for some reason Blogger was being a butt when it came to my images, but anyways, Movie of the Night from Sunday night: Jumanji: The Next Level!
The gang is back together! Spencer, Fridge, Beth, and Marlene have moved on with their lives and they were supposed to catch up except Spencer ran off back into the video game of Jumanji. They all go back to find Spencer but with a couple more people. Grandpa Eddie (played by Danny DeVito) and Milo (played by Danny Glover) are old business partners but being stranded in a video game made them get past their differences. In order to get through the game, the group has to play as Bravestone (played by Dwayne Johnson), Mouse (played by Kevin Hart), Oberon (played by Jack Black), and Ruby (played by Karen Gillan).
Maybe it's because I've been playing a lot of video games lately but I actually enjoyed this movie. It still has it's moments of being cheesy but it has a few learning points especially when it comes to Eddie and Milo's characters. Even though they're a couple of old farts, they couldn't get far in the game without each other or even without the kids. Jumanji: The Next Level also seemed a little bit more on the mature side; Maybe it's because they have a couple older gentleman with them who don't understand the concept of video games but it seemed a little different than the first movie. Also because of that ending, I have a hunch there's going to be a third Jumanji. All in all, this movie was entertaining to watch but keep in mind this movie is not available on Netflix or Hulu! So if you're trying to find out how to watch it, you can rent it from the Playstation store or Amazon!
*Rated PG-13 for language, suggestive content, and adventure action
