Central Intelligence

Hey guys! I know it's been a minute since my last movie review. I've been re-watching movies and enjoying some time off. Anyways, Movie of the Night from last night was Central Intelligence.

Calvin "The Golden Jet" Joyner (played by Kevin Hart) was voted to be the most successful during his senior year in high school in 1996. Fast forward 20 years later, he's making things go by by being an accountant and living life with his high school sweetheart, Maggie (played by Danielle Nicolet). It wasn't until he got a friend request from Bob Stone (played by Dwayne Johnson) that his life got turned upside down. By helping Bob, Calvin gets to do some things he hasn't done in years and even enjoy a bit of it.

I have been seeing this movie at the gym so many times and I'm glad I was able to finally sit down and watch it. Central Intelligence will definitely get some laughs going especially since the pair makes such a great duo. Other than that, there isn't much intelligence when it comes to the movie. It does have some great action in it but what is logic when it comes to action with Dwayne Johnson? Apparently as a CIA agent, you can just grab a gun in the middle of it shooting. It does have a great plot twist though when it comes to why Bob was trying to seek Calvin's help in the first place. He needed Calvin's sweet accounting skills to help him find out who the Black Badger is and clear his name for killing his former partner. All in all, Central Intelligence is a funny movie to enjoy.

*Rated PG-13 for crude and suggestive humor, language, nudity, and action violence

My Rating: B+
