Hey guys, how's your day going? It has been a good minute since I last watched a new movie and since most of us are enjoying movies in the comfort in our own homes I thought this Movie of the Night can be from Disney Plus so without further ado, Movie of the Night from last night: Soul!

Joe Gardner (voiced by Jamie Foxx) is your average person who's passion is jazz. The thing is after getting the option of taking band teacher as full time or playing with THE Dorothea Williams (voiced by Angela Bassett) his timing in the world was just not right sending him to another realm where he had to be a mentor to a stubborn soon-to-be soul. 22 (voiced by Tina Fey) wasn't able to really experience much while in the other realm but while being stuck in Joe's body, she was able to experience more than she can ever imagine.

It has been a hot minute since I last seen a new Pixar movie and as for my first tidbit: I loved it! This movie not only touched my musical side (especially for those who like jazz) but also the sentimental portion since there are plenty of heartfelt moments where Joe and 22 didn't quite see eye to eye but they were seeing the world in each other's eyes. Since 22 has never really experienced the world, she had the innocence of a child who was just taking her first steps... literally! Of course, there was a portion of the movie that doesn't seem quite as perfect as it would seem in the real world, but Pixar just loves to make things seem perfect when in the land of Disney. It involved Joe talking to his mother about his passion of playing. I'm not only speaking from personal experience but from other people as well when not all parents are up for their children living up to their dreams. But even with all the discouragement and craziness that happens in the two hour movie, Joe realized having a spark is not the true meaning of soul.
