Hey guys, how have you been? I know I have been a little off the grid for a minute but I thought since the holidays are upon us, I thought I might as well rate a movie I have not rated, and it just occurred to me that I have NEVER rated The Nightmare Before Christmas and what time is better to rate this one?
In this 1993 classic, Jack Skellington (voiced by Danny Elfman) has grown weary coordinating Halloween every year. It wasn't until he stumbled upon Christmas Town that he decided to change things up in Halloween Town. The thing is events don't go exactly according to plan especially since his enemy, Oogie Boogie (voiced by Ken Page), decided to mess with dear old Santa Clause who was about to embark on his voyage to gifting the small girls and boys.
I hate to be that person, but if you haven't watched it yet, you need to! It's an all time classic and not to be biased or anything but it accentuates not only one of my favorite holidays but it's just one of those movies that can be played around not just around Halloween but Christmas as well! Just like the other older Disney movies, it does have it's fair share of very catchy songs like This is Halloween, What's This, and Sally's Song. But it does progress the movie along quite well. The subtle romance story between Jack and Sally also makes even the most discreet romantic's heart squeeze.
*This movie can be found on Disney Plus
*Rated PG for some scary images
My Rating: A+
