Hey there! I know I've been a little off the radar. I've been a little busy with life and all that good stuff. I also know it's not my regular Monday or Saturday but there are movies I need to catch up rating, so Movie of the Night from last night: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.
After dealing with Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his nonsense, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) is a fugitive. It doesn't help that he has to backtrack to get certain items to flee New Mexico and in order to do that, Pinkman needs at least $125,000. To have a new name. To not be tracked. And to have a fresh new start. With the help from his friends, Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) and Badger (Matt Jones), Jesse gets his wish and ditches the southwest.
This has been on my to-watch list ever since I heard there was going to be a Breaking Bad movie. And I've watched Breaking Bad at least a few times to know the story of Walter White and his blue meth. Aaron Paul always amazes me with his acting, and it was like picking up Breaking Bad from season six. It was interesting to see his old buddies too. It was just weird since during the last season of Breaking Bad, Jesse is locked up in a cage and yet, he looks a little full during the movie as if Todd was making sure he was eating. The flashbacks were a sight for sore eyes since it has been a minute since viewers last saw Mike (Jonathan Banks) and, of course, Mr. White himself. It does get a little confusing sometimes with the flashbacks since the transitions just happen. Anyways, I think Vince Mulligan could have finished Breaking Bad with the six seasons and should not have added the movie but it was entertaining to watch.
*Rated TV-MA
My Rating: B-
