The Terminal

Hey guys! How's your day going? Mine is going pretty good. I almost forgot it was Monday but I managed to put on this feel good movie so without further ado, Movie of the Day: The Terminal!

While Krakozhia is at war, Viktor Navorsky (played by Tom Hanks) is trying to get his first taste of American soil from the JFK terminal. The thing is because of the civil war happening in his country, he is not able to get into the United States of America. Which also means he can't go back home. So while waiting to see what happens, Viktor makes the terminal his home. While befriending some of the workers at the terminal, Viktor tries his best to fulfill a promise he made to someone near and dear to him.

I forgot how old this movie was until I saw not because of Catherine Zeta Jones but Borders in the movie. Do you know how long it's been since I stepped foot in a Borders? Well hey. It's been a minute since I stepped foot in a Barnes and Noble but besides the point, this movie is definitely an oldie but a goodie. Tom Hanks not only baffles viewers with his Bulgarian accent but it just makes your heart ache every time someone walks over him just because he is trying to make it by in the terminal. It doesn't help that the Acting Field Commissioner is acting like a complete bully to him. I do have to say though the feels outdo how much cheesiness is in the film, and there's not that much but it is also a comedy which is why in some portions, you just can't help but laugh. So the next time you just happen to scroll by on Hulu, put this movie on if you want some lighthearted laughs and a good story.

*Rated PG-13 for language and drug references
