A Quiet Place Part II

Hey guys! How's it going? This past week has been super busy for me and let me just say: My arm is sore so you can take a guess on why. Anyways, a LOT of movies are coming out. Not to mention, I like to stay in occasionally so I have a couple movies to catch up on. But Movie of the Night from last night: A Quiet Place Part II.

In this intense sequel, the Abbott's are back and they're less quiet than they were in the first movie. Continuing right off from the last movie, they can't stay at their current location. The monsters destroyed whatever they had left of a home and with a newborn, they can't go too far. It wasn't until they bumped into an old family friend, Emmett (played by Cillian Murphy) and with his help, Regan (played by Millicent Simmonds) goes beyond the sea to find shelter. It's better and she even has a plan to keep the monsters away for good.

Who would have thought that John Krasinski would make this incredible sequel? I always liked how the premise is based off of one of the main characters being deaf. And because of her hearing aid, she has found a way to get around the dangerous monsters. Of course, it doesn't stop other human beings from taking it away from her and using it for their personal gain but she is definitely one smart cookie. Also if you're a fan of horror movies, you know when the party starts separating things start going crazy? Yeah. The element of surprise in this movie definitely got me. There are a couple pop up scares but most of it is anxiety induced scares - meaning you already know what's going to happen but the anxiety is inevitable. Anyways, seeing that this movie just came out, I don't want to give too many spoilers but be prepared because it's a ride.

*Rated PG-13 for terror, violence, and bloody and disturbing images

My Rating: A+
