The Pianist

Hey guys! How's your day going? I know. I've been kind of slacking on the reviews. Tis the busy season for some weird reason. You know, living life. Anyways, Movie of the Night from the other night: The Pianist!

Wladyslaw Szpillman (played by Adrian Brody) is a Polish Jewish pianist living in Germany right before the World War II. It wasn't until Adolf Hitler started making his move to exterminate the Jews that his life went upside down. Szpillman has to do whatever it takes to stay alive even if that means leaving his family behind to hide from the Germans.

I feel like I've been watching a lot of my favorite movies lately, and I thought why not watch this since Netflix suggested it to me haha. Anyways, I'm just going to start with my recommendation: If you haven't watched this movie yet, do it. I'm not saying it because I'm trying to be political and all that stuff. Let me start with Szpillman's passion for music. Even in the middle of a war, he still manages to get his emotions out on the piano and without letting no one else know except maybe one person but that's not until towards the end of the movie. The emotion in the movie may seem a little high but hearing it through his love for music is just amazing. I'm also a sucker for a movie with Adrian Brody. He has never failed to amaze me in a movie. So if you're still waiting for me to tell you to watch it, I say go for it!

*Rated R for violence and language
