Hey guys, how's your day going? Mine has been pretty good. I know I have been behind on some of my movie reviews lately but I am doing my best to stay on top of them. I did just watch the Conjuring on Wednesday but that is going to be up on Monday ;) So without further ado, Movie of the Night from the other night: 6 Underground!
What happens when you round up six individuals from all around the world and start killing criminals and terrorists? You would want to erase your past. All of it. That is what this group does and from Honk Kong to Las Vegas they make sure to eliminate the threat no matter what it takes even if one of their own is hurt. But what's more important: Making sure your little family is alright or taking down the bad guy?
I have no idea how to formulate my thoughts about this movie. Despite the fact that it was directed by Michael Bay, it was pretty entertaining and that's only because Ryan Reynolds is in it. To be honest, I think he carried the movie with his comedic lines. That and Ben Hardy's interesting parkour moves. But the amount of explosions is the least of what makes the movie not so great. Everything moves incredibly fast from the beginning to the end and the timeline shifts from past to present so crazy-like, it might give the viewer whiplash. You're still able to follow what the movie is about, but you will have questions from the get go. The movie is on Netflix if you do want to watch it, but be warned. You may or may not like it.
*Rated R for language, violence, bloody images, and sexual content
My Rating: D
