Cruella

Hey guys! How's your day going? Mine is going pretty good. I already went to my day job so now I'm just enjoying my evening spending it with you guys. Especially after watching a new movie that just came out. So without further ado, Movie of the Day the other day: Cruella!

Just like every story, there's always two sides. Sometimes it's the good side and the bad side, but then there's also the side that's always seen and the misunderstood side. In this story, once upon a time there was a little girl named Estella (played by Emma Stone) who had lost her mother. Because of this, it drove her to do some things people would frown upon: breaking and entering, stealing, and lying. Her real dream, though, was to be a fashion designer and it was well known ever since she was little. But like I mentioned before there are two sides on one coin. For Estella, it was Cruella and her fashion designer of a boss, The Baroness (played by Emma Thompson), brings her out more than she anticipated.

This was one of those movies where I did not expect what I was going to watch, but it is definitely a spectacle. I'm not saying that just because Emma Stone is one of my favorite actresses or the fact that I am a fan of the villain live action Disney films. I just didn't know the story of Cruella DeVille and it definitely gave off a Devil Wears Prada vibe. I knew she was into fashion but an aspiring fashion designer? That is definitely something I was not expecting. Especially for an underrated Disney villain. The movie did start off a little slow though because it does start off as her as a child but the movie does circulate her when she is an adult. Other than that though, I wouldn't want to waste watching this movie on the little screen at home. This is a movie to watch on the big screen.

*Rated PG-13 for violence and thematic elements

My Rating: A-
