Hey guys! How's it going? I'm really trying not to be too lazy but every part of me just wants to melt from this heat wave. Anyways, I watched this with my dad the other day so without further ado, Movie of the Night from the other night: No Escape!
Jack Dwyer (played by Owen Wilson) moves his entire family over to Southeast Asia because his company thought it would be better to transfer him. Little did he know there was a little political uprising, so after getting caught in the middle of a confrontation, Jack does everything and anything to protect his wife and two girls.
I didn't really have that much invigorating thoughts about this movie to be honest. It was interesting following Owen Wilson going through city where he had no idea where anything was. Let alone speak the language. Also Pierce Brosnan is in this movie, and he makes an interesting addition to the cast. But other than that, the movie is pretty straight forward. Not a lot of hidden agendas or plot twists so the movie is considered a little shallow for my taste but the action and little comedy was entertaining to keep my attention for a good minute. It is on Netflix so I would rather watch it at home than the movie theaters and save the money.
*Rated R for violence, language, and sexual assault
My Rating: B
