The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Hey there! How's it going? It's starting to get warm here and when I say warm, I mean it's hitting the triple digits and it's not even summer yet. Ugh. Did I mention I like winter more than summer? Anyways, I mentioned in my last movie review that I watched the Conjuring last week so without further ado, Movie of the Night from the other night: The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It!

The Warrens are back at it again. This time it's not a little boy they are worried about though. The demon takes over one of the boy's who was helping when David (played by Julian Hillard) was possessed. The thing is Arne (played by Ruairi O'Connor) can't keep the demon at bay. It wasn't until he murdered his girlfriend's boss when he was taken to the prison. Even in prison though, he can't keep the thing inside of him away. It's up to Ed (played by Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (played by Vera Farmiga) to figure out who and what is controlling the demon who haunting the young man.

I've always liked the Conjuring movies. I'm surprised I haven't rated a lot more but after looking at my own blog, I only rated one Conjuring movie. But I did rate several horror movies. Anyways, if you know me, I have always liked my horror/thriller movies and this one is definitely up there in my Top 10 Movies of the Year. The scary factor and the creepy factor are about the same level. An example is the movie definitely makes me not trust water beds. As for gore, there isn't a lot of it but there is definitely plenty of suspense. Pop up scares don't happen a lot but it definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. All in all, this is definitely a movie you have to watch on the big screen.

*Rated R for terror, violence, and disturbing images

My Rating: A+
