Gunpowder Milkshake

Hey guys! How's your day going? It's been somewhat cooling down over here. Mainly because it's been raining. But it's so much better than the blistering heat of the desert. Anyways, Movie of the Night from the other night: Gunpowder Milkshake!

Sam (played by Karen Gillan) came from line of hitmen and her mom isn't the only one who had to deal with a mission that has gone wrong making her having to go away. Sam, on the other hand, has to do a mission that involves stopping a man who stole money. But that doesn't stop her from seeing her mother again or even having a child involved in a dangerous event.

To say I did not pay attention to this movie may or may not be true. My first impression was that this movie was going to be some chick fighting bad guys. That's it. After somewhat getting into the movie, it has it's moments. The fighting sequences are pretty impressive especially while Sam is somewhat maintaining composure. The thing is about this movie it seems a little slow especially in the beginning. Even with the action-it may seem creative but a little drawn out. Having to explain everything too was a little confusing. It definitely has the women empowerment involved. That's for sure. Gunpowder Milkshake is an entertaining movie that makes a great movie for background noise.

*Rated R for language and bloody violence

My Rating: C
