Twilight

Hello there! How's your Monday going? Sorry I haven't been posting for the past couple weeks. I'm actually moving so yay for me but boo for the stress of moving. Anyways so while I'm packing I thought why not? Haha so Movie of the Night from the other night: Twilight!

Isabella "Bella" Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) just moved from Phoenix to Forks, Washington. Away from the sunshine and her mom, Bella makes a new life with her dad and new friends, but she can't help but be captivated by the Cullens: the perfect family who happen to be vampires. It also doesn't help that Bella wants to be more than friends with Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson). But is it worth to Bella to be so close to someone who can be so dangerous?

So I did read the books as they came out but I'm going to do my best and separate the two views because in my opinion, the movies do not do the books justice. Also as a vampire enthusiast, vampires do NOT sparkle. While this franchise did well more than 10 years ago, it still is thriving since Stephanie Meyers wrote her new novel from Edward's point of view Midnight Sun. As the first movie in the series though, viewers can see what producers were trying to do in order to gain fans. The shaking of the camera may make the movie seem a bit more intense but it does not help watch Edward practically fly throughout the woods in Forks. I do have to give kudos on some scenes though that did bring back memories like the baseball scene while Muse playing in the background. Also, the memes making fun of Kristen Stewart's expressionless face make a lot of sense if you see her face in half of this movie. This definitely brings an old time debate though: Which team are you: Team Edward or Team Jacob?

*Rated PG-13 for violence and a scene of sensuality

My Rating: C
