Halloweentown

Happy spooky season guys! It's my favorite time of the year and guess what I'm going to be doing this entire month? That's right! I'm going to be watching all sorts of spooky, scary, and Halloween type movies! So I thought I could start off with one of my favorites: Halloweentown!

Halloweentown is nothing like the human world. Witches, vampires, werewolves, and ghosts wander around in their original state just to go to the grocery store, but Marnie Piper (played by Kimberly J. Brown) doesn't know it exists. Next in her family line to be a witch, Marnie is strange with a capital S but her mother does not even allow her three children to go out for Halloween. It wasn't until their grandmother Aggie (played by Debbie Reynolds) popped in to train Marnie. Little did Marnie know was that she was going to get her training all right. Just in time to defeat the darkness taking over Halloweentown.

It was super hard to pick a movie to rate for October... Believe me. I wanted to just jump into the It series or maybe Halloween but that's for later (Did I mention the new one comes out on October 15th?). But because October is one of the busiest months for me I thought I might as well have something going on in the background while I do my things but I cannot pass Halloweentown especially when it's at the tip of my fingers on Disney+! Anyways, if you haven't watched Halloweentown, I highly recommend it! Even though it is a little outdated when it comes to the costumes and special effects, it's still an enjoyable movie. Not to mention, the nostalgia feels nice. As Aggie mentions, "Being normal is vastly overrated."
