Eternals

Hey guys, how's it going? I know. It's not Monday or Saturday but I really wanted to rate this movie since I saw it last week and I wanted to make sure I didn't forget to rate a Marvel movie. Anyways, without further ado, Movie of the Night from last week: Eternals!

It has been five years since Thanos snapped away half of the population on planet Earth but that doesn't stop the Eternals from inhabiting the Earth and protecting the humans from the Defiants. One of the Eternals, Sersi (played by Gemma Chan) actually encounters one in London with her fellow Eternal, Sprite (played by Lia McHugh). Because of this, the Eternals are brought back together but Sersi can't help but feel like she has a bigger calling than just protecting the humans but the thing is... it involves her dying.

I don't know why but after the last installment of the Avengers, I kind of lost interest in the Marvel universe but I still watch the movies for entertainment. Besides it being a Marvel movie, there's always something happening in the universe whether it's part of Earth's or not. Anyways, there's only so much I can say about how captivating the special effects are in this movie and how the funny quirks make it comedic but other than that, it's not as captivating as the rest of the Marvel movies. There seems to be a lot more happening in this movie than the typical bad guy is trying to take over the universe or in this case, destroy the universe. Not to mention, it seems like Marvel is starting to catch up with not only the times but catching the tween audience's attention. Anyways, Eternals is an entertaining Marvel movie that is nice to watch on the big screen but it is one you can wait to watch at home.

*Rated PG-13 for violence, language, action, and sexuality

My Rating: B-
