Ratatouille

Hey guys! How's your Saturday going? I was having a laid-back day so I thought I might as well do a review on a movie I haven't watched in a while. Anyways, Movie of the Night: Ratatouille!

Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) is your plain old garden rat. The thing is he has quite a nose on him that not only helps his pack detect rat poison but it also helps him with his passion: cooking. It's just his dad doesn't think it's normal for a rat to be cooking so when he encounters Linguini Alfredo (voiced by Lou Romano) who isn't your most coordinated person, things take a turn. But the pair makes it work in Gusteau's, a French restaurant that used to have all five of it's stars. It does surprise Anton Ego (voiced by Peter O'Toole) though that anyone can cook even a rat.

It has been a minute since I last rated a Pixar movie and my intent was to watch the new one, Encanto, but I guess I had other plans and decided to go down memory lane. I have always loved to cook so this movie does play a bit with my emotions but feeling good is just one of the emotions, Ratatouille plays with. It plays with the humility of accepting anybody with talent no matter how they look. Remy does have that cute little rat face though so how could anyone turn him down? I remember watching it on Disney Channel and dealing with the commercials but since it is on Disney+ I have the ease of just putting it on and not watch commercials. With animations that look almost real, Ratatouille can make you hunger for that next Pixar fix. All in all, a good movie to watch with the kids and maybe help you think about the next recipe you're going to cook.

*Rated G

My Rating: A+
