Hey guys, how's it going? I'm doing alright. I had a little fiasco with my Fantastic Beasts movie review so I had to take a little break there, but I'm back and catching up with some of these crazy movies I have been watching. Anyways, Movie of the Night: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!
Doctor Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) is at it again but this time after encountering America Chavez (played by Xochitl Gomez), things take a turn. It also doesn't help that Wanda/The Scarlet Witch (played by Elizabeth Olsen) is after America for her own personal gain and Doctor Strange is the only one that can help America and her up and coming powers.
Just a little side note: I have not watched WandaVision or any other of the Marvel shows on Disney Plus so I was a little confused on what was happening. But that is a must if you do want to watch this movie. There are references to the show that if you haven't watched them, you will probably be in the same boat as I was especially on what is going on with Wanda, but if you know about the other universes, you won't be too terribly lost. Anyways, Doctor Strange was always one of my favorite Marvel characters so I was super curious on how they were going to do the movie but overall, it's pretty good. There were some dark moments where he does some things like break the natural order like taking over a corpse but it is a warning for your little ones if you do want them to watch. It was definitely interesting watching how they incorporated the different universes especially Dr. Christine Palmer (played by Rachel McAdams). Did I mention there are weird features from different studios like from Fantastic 4? Yeah. It gets pretty wild in Doctor Strange. But a definitely must watch in the theaters. Don't wait until Disney Plus because a small screen doesn't do the movie justice.
*Rated PG-13 for language, intense scenes of violence and action, and frightening images
My Rating: B
Oh my goodness, what an absolute thrill and so eloquently written. I look forward to more of your reviews in the future.
