Morbius

Hey guys, how's it going? I'm doing alright. My allergies have been getting the best of me but that doesn't stop me from watching movies especially from home. Anyways, it's been a minute since I watched the movie but Movie of the Night: Morbius!

Dr. Michael Morbius (played by Jared Leto) is your typical doctor but not so typical when it comes to his physical being. Because of his rare blood disease, Dr. Morbius tries his best to solve it as well as his brother Milo (played by Matt Smith). The thing is it doesn't help that the cure involves changing Dr. Morbius into a vampire. Because of this, Michael has to battle his hunger for blood and stop his brother from causing more deaths in New York City.

I had no idea what to expect from this Marvel movie. Which by the way, for a Marvel movie, this one tends to go to the dark side just a wee bit. I'm so used to Iron Man or Spider-Man with their quirky little bits but Dr. Morbius... doesn't exactly have a quirky side. He does have an affectionate side especially towards his assistant, Martine Bancroft (played by Adria Arjona). But other than that, Jared Leto himself captivated me from the beginning to the end. Even though, the CGI got a little too much especially with the going vamp for Morbius and Milo, I was still able to enjoy the movie. It is a little upsetting that it wasn't too captivating. It has taken me more than a few weeks to write this movie review and I had to refresh my memory on what happened because it wasn't that memorable. It is definitely worth it to watch on the big screen, but at the same time, you're not missing much if you do end up watching it at home.

*Rated PG-13 for language, some frightening images, and violence
