The Adam Project

Hey guys, how's it going? Happy New Year! I know! I haven't posted since last year hehe. Anyways, I'm super excited for what this year has in store for movies, because there are so many I want to watch on the big screen AND on the little screen. I've been enjoying my fair share of streaming on Hulu or Netflix, but nothing can beat the big screen and the crazy sound system a theater has. But enough of my yapping, first Movie of the Night of 2023: The Adam Project!

How would you feel if you bumped into yourself 20 years ago? I know it won't be along the lines for young Adam Reed (played by Walker Scobell), because after finding his future self (played by Ryan Reynolds) all tough and buff makes his nerdy little life seem like something else. The older Adam Reed made a mistake though and ended up time traveling to the wrong time, so with his younger self's help, he tries to save the future and his loved ones.

I don't even know what I would say to myself 20 years ago. Wait. I do actually. It would be along the lines of "Life will get better." In the Adam Project, it would probably be along the lines of "Life will be crazy. Don't lose your sh**." I don't know who decided to recruit Walker Scobell, but he portrays a young Ryan Reynolds so well, it's hilarious. With his mouthy remarks and acting, Walker contrasts Ryan amazingly. As for the crazy time bending story, I was able to follow it really well, because time traveling movies have always confused me. It's simple enough to keep my attention and wonder going. Did I mention his father is played by Mark Ruffalo? Yeah. They make an interesting family in my opinion. And Adam's wife is Zoe Saldana. Right? With the all star cast and the witty remarks, The Adam Project is a hilarious time bending story filled with action and adventure. This movie is on Netflix, so if you are wondering what to watch next, I'd say this one should be it.

*Rated PG-13 for action, violence, and language
