Shazam! Fury of the Gods

Hey guys! Happy Saturday! How are things going? I'm doing pretty good. Just been a little busy with work and living the life. Anyways, I literally had a conversation with my dad not too long ago about Black Adam and Shazam not being the same person, so I had to Google the differences between these two. Let's just say: That's a rabbit hole I didn't need to spend 30 minutes on. Anyways, movie of the Night: Shazam! Fury of the Gods!

Billy Batson (played by Asher Angel) and his buddies are at it again saving their city and their loved ones from the evil clutches of bad guys. This time around, it's a trio of sisters and they are not happy Shazam (played by Zachary Levi) broke one of their favorite toys and just threw it away to be put in a museum. Of course, the sisters find it but cause mayhem all over Philadelphia. It's up to Shazam and his band of superheros to make sure no one gets hurt even if one of them develops feelings for one of the daughters of Titan Atlas.

To build off what I was mentioning earlier about wondering if Shazam and Black Adam were the same person, they are not (obviously), but their powers did come from the same wizard. The thing is: the wizard doesn't do much since he got imprisoned by the daughters of Titan Atlas, and I swear I thought I've seen Djimon Hounsou before. I have never Googled so much for a movie, but you can imagine the rabbit holes I get sucked into when it comes to these reviews. Anyways, Shazam! Fury of the Gods is an entertaining movie that has a little of everything: drama, action, comedy, and even some really violent actions, but it was just that... Entertaining. Maybe it's the cheesiness coming from the children's point of view or the fact that the parents did not know that they were changing into superheros right inside the house. Maybe work has been making me try and see the logic in almost everything, but I thought unicorns were supposed to be white. If you were to decide to save your money and wait until this movie hit a streaming site, just wait. Of course, seeing superheros on the big screen a little better but Shazam isn't the movie that should be on the big screen.

*Rated PG-13 for language, violence, and action
