Hey guys, how's it going? I've been doing well. Just hanging out in air condition, because the heat is here and I'm not liking it. Living in a desert has it's pros and cons so I'm not complaining too much. Anyways, Movie of the Night from the other night: The Flash!
Since Barry Allen (played by Ezra Miller) is The Flash, he has a lot of responsibilities including saving the people he cares about. The thing is he messes with time travel and ends up saving his mother from her untimely death. Because of this, it changes other parts of history like Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot) or Superman existing which means General Zod (played by Michael Shannon) destroys Earth. Its up to Barry and his past self to make things right even if it means his mom has to die.
I had no idea what to expect from this movie, but I understand it was supposed to be a somewhat fast paced movie however it did not end spectacularly. Not to bash on Ezra Miller, but I don't think Mr. Barry Allen was supposed to be as spazzy and I have never read the comics. He was definitely all over the place, and when he met his previous self, it was even worse. I really didn't want to complain about the main character, but I understand he is quirky. It was just a little too much to handle. It wasn't even the character that was the worst part of the movie. It was the ending of the movie when General Zod was taking over the world and killing Kara Zor-El (played by Sasha Calle) over and over, because younger Barry was trying to save her... And then to have him go into the time realm encountering himself in a different form was just unnecessary. It was not only confusing but too much for a two and a half hour movie. I would be generous if I said I would wait until this movie reaches a streaming service, but I wouldn't want to even do that. You won't be missing much of the DC world if you do skip this movie but there is some entertainment in there. There's bits of comedy in the midst of all the action and drama, so there's still somewhat of a story involved in The Flash however it's just entertainment so if you want to watch something a little bit more fulfilling, skip this one.
*Rated PG-13 for language, violence and action, and partial nudity
