Hey guys! How's it going? Sorry I wasn't able to post last week. I was on a much needed vacation, but I made sure to watch something when I got back, because who doesn't decompress when coming back from vacation? Anyways, Movie of the Night from the other night: Red Notice!
FBI Profiler John Hartley (played by Dwayne Johnson) is on the hunt for an art thief and Nolan Booth (played by Ryan Reynolds) is not playing fair. Unfortunately the tables turn when they have to work together to make sure they get Cleopatra's three eggs before another art thief, The Bishop (played by Gal Gadot) tries and takes them for herself. The question is are they all going to play nice or are they going to have to turn on each other to get what they want?
I don't know why but I have been on a Ryan Reynolds binge and have been wanting to watch some of his movies that I haven't watched, and Red Notice was on my radar. However it doesn't make it up there with Free Guy. He still is hilarious in this movie as his other ones but it's not as serious. This movie, in general, is just silly. Especially since Dwayne Johnson is in it as well. Of course, if Dwayne Johnson is in a movie, there's got to be some action and it was definitely action packed. There were a few moments that didn't seem likely but that's what makes the movie silly. Like avoiding a rocket launcher while swinging on the outside of a helicopter. How that thing did not impact is beyond me but action movie logic is something else. Also him and Ryan Reynolds make an interested team. They play well with each other. Anyways, Red Notice is on Netflix so if you're looking for a good action and comedy flick, this one might be on the table for you if you want something a little exciting.
Rated PG-13 for violence, action, language and some sexual references
My Rating: B
