John Wick 2

Hey guys! How's it going? I'm still wondering how I didn't make a movie review for this one when it first came out. Luckily they're all on Netflix except the fourth one so I had a mini marathon this month. Anyways, Movie of the Night from the other night: John Wick 2!

In this installment of the John Wick series, John Wick (played by Keanu Reeves) is approached by crime boss Santino D'Antonio (played by Riccardo Scarmarcio) and what turned out to be a simple revenge tactic was just to get Wick running for his life. With the help from very few acquaintances, John tries his best to stick to his marker but when he has to assassinate someone on Continental grounds, he ends up in excommunication.

I almost forgot what happened in this movie, but after rewatching it, it makes a lot of sense about the third and fourth movies since they do reference to the others. A lot of people just see a guy running, because people are trying to kill him but they don't know the reason why. John Wick 2 is not my favorite out of the four but is as fascinating. Not only does he get to meet Bowery King (played by Laurence Fishburne) but he sticks to his guns and defies the High Table's rules which starts a chase that doesn't seem to end. John Wick 2 does get the adrenaline pumping watching John do the things that he has to do, but it also is as action packed and violent as the others. As mentioned before, it is on Netflix, so if you're looking for something for the next movie binge, I highly suggest this series!

*Rated R for language, violence, action, and brief nudity
