IF

Hey guys! How's it going? I'm doing alright. I thought I was getting ready for summer over here but apparently the wind came through and is making it a little hard to tolerate my allergies. Anyways, I watched this earlier today so I guess I should say Movie of the Day was IF!

Do you remember who your imaginary friend was when you were younger? I remember mine. She was a stuffed fox named Foxy. Yeah. I know. How original? Anyways, for 12-year-old Elizabeth (played by Cailey Fleming) she had to grow up a little fast for her own good due to her own mother's passing. But when her dad has to undergo a heart surgery, she has to find other ways to somehow not think of all the bad things that may happen which may or may not include rehoming imaginary friends. The thing is it might not be rehoming the IFs but reuniting them with their former kids. That shouldn't be too bad right?

Do you remember what you wanted to be when you were younger? I definitely remember I wanted to be a writer, and without you guys I wouldn't be here :) Yup. Just living the dream. Anyways, this heartfelt movie was so gosh darn heartwarming that almost everyone in the theater was sniffling by the end of the movie which is why I have to give it a positive rating. Spoiler alert: I lost it when Bea reunited Blossom with her grandmother while she was dancing in the living room. I was not able to stop the tears and I had to grab a couple more after that, because it just kept going from there. I mainly wanted to watch this movie mainly because of Ryan Reynolds but I was not expecting John Krasinski to be a part of the movie as well, and he made an excellent father figure which by the way had a very similar look to Mr. Reynolds (Wink wink). There was actually a lot of actors and voice actors I was not expecting which by the way Brad Pitt is also a part of this film however he does not have a speaking role. If you look at the credits, you can see who he plays. Anyways, if you want to bring your kids to the theater and watch something, this is definitely one to see.

*Rated PG for language and thematic events

My Rating: A+
