On the Line

Hey guys! How's it going? May the 4th be with you! I know I haven't been watching a lot of movies in theaters lately so I've been trying to stick to the to the popular movies on streaming services, but every once in a while, I come across one not everyone would think twice of like this one. Anyways, Movie of the Night from the other night: On the Line!

Late night radio host, Elvis Cooney (played by Mel Gibson) goes a little too far with things and when he gets a call from Gary (played by Paul Spera) threatening to kill his family, he humbles himself semi quick. In this game of cat and mouse, it's up to Elvis to make sure no one gets hurt including his family and coworkers.

Where do I begin with this movie? The fact that the main character won't stop running his mouth or the fact that he was being threatened by a caller. It's a fascinating story but the cat and mouse game is what got me entertained. There's something about cyber bullying that makes me tick and the fact that this guy was using his voice to make Elvis, a big guy, quake in his boots is something else. The ending is what knocked my rating down though. The movie was going really well and then the ending just made it seem less of a scary movie. This movie is on Netflix so if you are looking for a thriller, maybe check it out. I suggest not to though. If you do happen to watch it, be careful. The language is not exactly family friendly and neither is the violence.

Rated R for language and violent content

My Rating: C
