A Family Affair

Hey guys! How's it going? I know it's a little bit late but I wanted to rate this movie, because I thought it was pretty cute even though I rarely watch rom-coms. But lately I have been watching more and more since they have been popping up. So without further ado, Movie of the Night from the other night: A Family Affair!

Zara Ford (played by Joey King) is an assistant to big shot actor Chris Cole (played by Zac Efron) who can be a bit hostile to her despite all of her best efforts. It wasn't until one day when Zara quits that he needs her and winds up finding her mom, Brooke (played by Nicole Kidman) and falls for her... hard. Between the two of them, they don't let age get to them but it might be Brooke's daughter that breaks them up and leads them to realize they have might more then just a mere attraction.

I guess what drove me to watch this movie was the preview I saw on Netflix. It was when Chris was singing along to a Cher song and wondering where Zara was while he was trying to break up with a girl he thought he had no connection with. I guess it was also the age difference him and Brooke have that made me wonder how they were going to make it work and for some weird reason, they did. Despite Zara's protests and their urge to just be with each other, this movie made me just want to keep watching. It was cute and adorable, and it's one of those romance movies that doesn't make me compare my love life to it haha. There's a reason why I don't watch a lot of romance movies, but this one I enjoyed. I did mention it is only on Netflix so if you are wanting to watch something that'll make you laugh and have a good feeling, this can be one for you!

*Rated PG-13 for language, sexual content, and partial nudity
