Back to the Future II

Hey guys! How's it going? I'm doing awesome! The weather is finally dropping and it may not be much, but it is no longer in the triple digits so as someone who is somewhat used to the heat, it has been really nice lately. Anyways, back to the series I was rating before I got distracted from my birthday! Movie of the Night from the other night: Back to the Future II!

Marty McFly (played by Michael J. Fox) is back on an adventure back to the future except this time, it's 2015. Taken aback by the future, Marty thought he could make a few extra bucks by bringing a memento back to 1985 however Biff (played by Tom Wilson) got his hands on it first altering history as we know it. So Marty has to go back to 1955 and fix some things with his cohort Doc (played by Christopher Lloyd) so that he can have the timeline he wants and not a future where Biff is part of his family.

Did I mention I watched these movies out of order? So when I first started watching this series, I started with the third one. I know. It wasn't my choice but I was a little weirded out when I saw they were going to 2015 and let me tell you: It is not what they thought it would be. Since we are in 2024 and 2015 has come and gone, it seems like we were hopeful back then. Thinking we would have flying cars and having everything come and go from the tips of our fingers. I mean it is somewhat true for the latter but it was just inaccurate seeing the first part of the movie but as the movie progressed, it was fascinating what happened to Marty, Doc, and Biff. I'm not going to lie: I liked the first movie a lot more than this one and I think it's just because of the whole 2015 segment. I wouldn't have minded watching this on the big screen, but you can only find this on Netflix. So if you're planning to squeeze in a movie, this might be one on you if you want to go back in time.

*Rated PG for language, frightening/intense scenes, sex/nudity, alcohol, drugs, and smoking

My Rating: B
