Neighbors

Hey guys! How's it going? I know. I know. I've been slacking these past couple of weeks but in my defense, October is my busiest time of the year so I decided to just enjoy some time off. But during that time I managed to watch some movies including some old ones that I didn't realize aren't on here, so without further ado, Movie of the Night from the other night: Neighbors!

Mac and Kelly Radner (played by Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne respectively) are doing their best as newborn parents however it doesn't help when a fraternity decides to move in next door. While they try to figure out how to stop the fraternity from messing with them, it seems things get a little out of hand including what Teddy (played by Zac Efron) might do especially since his fraternity might be on the line if they do anything too reckless.

I feel like it has been a minute since I have watched a movie with Seth Rogan in it, and every time I do watch a movie with him in it, I can't help but laugh and it's not just the comedic elements from the movie. It's his silly laugh and that is definitely in this movie. Obviously, there wouldn't be a neighborhood that would let a fraternity live there without notifying the neighbors but this movie just pushes all sorts of boundaries. The amount of craziness in this movie is not only silly and entertaining but it overpowers what little deeper story line there is. There is kind of one like Mac and Kelly trying to be good parents while Teddy and his posse are trying to figure out what to do after college, but the shenanigans are just wild. From stealing the airbags from the Radner's car to a cannabis party, this movie is definitely not one for the kids, but if you're scrolling through Hulu and want something in the background, this movie might be the one.

*Rated R for language, raunchy comedy, drugs, sex and nudity, and violence

My Rating: B-
