Ron's Gone Wrong

Hey guys! How's it going? I know. I have been slacking a bit, but in my defense, during this time of the year, it's a bit difficult to stay consistent especially with all the holidays and family and all that stuff. How are you all coping with the holidays? I'm doing well despite the amount of change I'm going through. Anyways, without further ado, Movie of the Night from the other night: Ron's Gone Wrong!

Socially awkward Barney (voiced by Jack Dylan Grazer) has always wanted a friend. Not just any kind of friend though - A Bubble Bot. Apparently Bubble Bots are the best friend in this day and age especially if kids want to reach out to their other friends, play games, listen to music or any other applicable programs. Basically a portable phone that can talk back but in support of adolescents. But because Barney's family is not like the others, they can't exactly afford one for him but on Barney's birthday, his dad gets one except something happened to the Bubble Bot making him a little defective however that didn't stop him from helping Barney not only make friends but define what a friend is and in the long run... Make a best friend.

You can guess who I watched this with, but I do have to admit: This movie wasn't that bad. It was entertaining and even had me feel pretty good with the friends I have. I didn't even know this movie existed until the boyfriend's niece picked it out from Disney +. It definitely showed a different way when it came to making friends especially with the young ones. I forgot how attached kids nowadays are attached to their phones and this movie definitely showed it, but of course, they need human interaction or any interaction in Barney's situation. His character development definitely grows for sure, and he learns a lot more of himself than just social interaction. All in all, it wasn't a bad view to watch with the family. I don't know if it'll be good background noise though, because it will definitely make you want to sit down and enjoy it.

*Rated PG for rude material, language, and thematic elements

My Rating: A
